James Franklin and the Penn State football staff have one of the country’s best rosters and are on pace to continue attracting top talent to Happy Valley in the upcoming cycles.
The Nittany Lions’ top-ranked 2027 class continues to add on the accolades, as four-star Appoquinimink (DE) offensive lineman Layton von Brandt earned an invite to the 2026 Under Armour All-America Game on Friday. The invitation comes a week after the Under Armour Future 50 Camp in Florida.
Open to prospects in the 2026 and 2027 recruiting cycles, von Brandt will participate in January’s all-star game alongside Penn State quarterback commit Troy Huhn. Top Nittany Lions 2027 offensive line target Maxwell Hiller also earned an invitation to the event earlier in the week.
Von Brandt is the No. 32 overall prospect in the 2027 cycle, according to On3. All three of the Nittany Lions’ 2027 commits are currently within the threshold of five-star status.
