We are under an hour away from the first top-five matchup in Beaver Stadium in a quarter-century when No. 3 Penn State football kicks off against No. 4 Ohio State.

Saturday’s contest may not be a winner-take-all scenario as it has been in years past. However, plenty is still on the line, with potential College Football Playoff seeding and Big Ten title hopes all up for grabs.

Both sides were facing noteworthy injuries coming into the week. For Penn State football, questions surrounded the health of Drew Allar after the starting quarterback was forced to exit last week’s game with an apparent left leg injury.

Barring a late scratch, the junior signal caller appears ready to go, working his way through warmups and being cleared on the Nittany Lions’ availability report released Saturday morning.

Defensively, Penn State may be without edge rusher Dani Dennis-Sutton, who also left last week’s game with a lower-body injury. Dennis-Sutton, along with right tackle Anthony Donkoh, were announced as questionable for Saturday’s game.
