Penn State football is set to take on Wisconsin this weekend at Camp Randall. Following this weekend’s matchup, the Nittany Lions will face their biggest test against Ohio State. The Buckeyes will be without starting left tackle Josh Simmons for the Penn State game and the remainder of the season according to Ryan Day.
On Tuesday, Ohio State head coach Ryan Day confirmed that Josh Simmons, who is starting left tackle, will miss the remainder of the season. Spencer Holbrook of On3 reported the news.
Simmons is regarded as a key piece of the Buckeyes offensive line. He started his career at San Diego State before entering the transfer portal in February of 2023. He then transferred to Ohio State where Simmons has played since the 2023 season. He was injured against Oregon on October 12.
Who will Penn State face at left tackle?
When Ohio State comes to town on November 2, the Penn State football team will face Simmons’ backup Zen Michalski. After being on the field for 46 snaps against Oregon he recorded a 47.6 PFF grade.
Penn State will need to get pressure on Will Howard next Saturday to find a way of beating the Buckeyes for the first time since 2016. The Nittany Lions are set to kick off at noon as part of FOX’s Big Noon Saturday on November 2.
