On Sunday morning, the Jacksonville Jaguars took on the New England Patriots as part of the 2024 NFL games in England. The game featured ex-Penn State football wide receiver Parker Washington, the former Nittany Lion set a new Jaguar franchise record in the first half.

The Jacksonville Jaguars were desperate to get back on track on Sunday morning against the 1-5 New England Patriots. They were able to do so after an offensive explosion in the first half of the game.

However, with one minute and 49 seconds remaining in the first half, former Penn State football wide receiver Parker Washington made his impact. As the team’s punt returner, he refused to take a fair catch and it paid off in a big way. Washington broke the punt return for a 96-yard touchdown.

This set a new franchise record for the Jaguars as the longest punt return in the franchise’s history.

Parker Washington isn’t the only former Penn State player on Jacksonville’s roster. He is also teammates with tight end Brenton Strange who has had success in 2024. Strange was forced into the starting lineup while starting tight end Evan Engram was nursing a hamstring injury.

Strange racked up 13 catches for 131 yards and two touchdowns through six games so far. While Washington has three catches for 21 yards on the season.
